9 Tiny Songs About Lord of the Rings
A project I started and never finished... should I?
Hi friends,
I was snooping through my external hard drive today for a file, and stumbled across these 9 tiny songs. 9 tiny songs about Lord of the Rings.
I thought you might like to hear ‘em!
Back in 2020, I started a 100 day project called 100 Tiny Songs, which involved me making a new song every day for 100 days, NO EXCUSES. All the songs were ‘tiny’ which meant they had to be less than 1 minute long. They also had to be very easy and fun to record, so I recorded them all on my phone. You can take a better look at the project here, and listen to all 100 songs!
After I finished 100 Tiny Songs, I still got the tiny song itch. I wanted to keep writing these little songs and, one Christmas break, I came up with an idea: why not write a tiny song for every 10 minute segment of the Lord of the Rings films? Y’know, just an easy, achievable task.
I managed to make about nine before I realised that I was watching the extended versions of LOTR and suddenly thought “fuck this.”
