The children need the weird movies! I still can’t believe I’ve never seen this one. After reading this entire newsletter, I’ve only become more intrigued. I must watch it.

I suspect you and I are of similar age, just my two cents, but NO ONE can truly replace Bowie in a remake.

For that matter, this is one movie I hope no studio attempts to redo.

you are correct! i hope this film remains untouched as well, it's a cult classic and doesn't need any blockbuster treatment. also, only David Bowie can sing those songs like he does.

1. Italian artists Gianni Morandi, but they let me explore.

2. The Exorcist. I still love that film and it still scares the bejeezus out of me.

3. I have no kids so I have no skin in the game. But I would say parents don't allow kids to watch scary movies. When I was 7-8 and thereabouts I would go to bed after my parents and watch old horror movies on free to air tv. It was magical.

4. Ashes to Ashes. I love the chords he uses in the chorus.

I am listening to Gianni Morandi just now -- never heard of him but I am liking it! Agree with Ashes to Ashes, that's such a good choice.

Gianni is such a legend. Check out Mina and Adriano Celentano if you like Gianni.

I have never watched this film but am aware of it. It would have to be Jared Leto. Beautiful freak.
