I was surprised by you, you came to see

I did not know you, you did not know me

I could not forget you, you were so shy

I lied to you, you saw through my lie.

I was angry at you, you turned it about

I was calmed by you, you sorted it out

Because it was you, you talked me around

Instead of you, you told me you found

The something in you, you never had told

I saw passion in you, you were anything but cold.

I listened to you, you held me in sway

I learned from you, you knew what to say

I began thinking of you, you never knew till now

I have talked about you, you are different somehow

I felt for you, you told me your heart

It was painful to you, you called it a start

It began then with you, you felt more each day

I could not stop you, you just had to say

"I never shall lose you", you never will, my dear

I won't hide from you, you have made it all clear

That there is only you, you are more than a man

I can wish just of you, you give me my plan

That I shall marry you, you will be only mine

Forever with you, you hold back the time

So I can be more with you, you are my moon

My life lies with you, you sing me your tune

Of the love about you, you felt so weak

I blushed before you, you kissed my cheek

Then I look up at you, you gaze at my face

I said "I love you", you know that is true
