Okay!!! Hi!!! How are ya!?
🌋 The Kickstarter to fund the release of my debut album, Typical Forever, is now live!🌋
If you haven’t clicked the video above, here’s the rundown:
‘Typical Forever’ is an 8-track concept album about geology. The songs cover topics such as ice age floods, volcanoes, tectonic plates and fossils. But each song is also about something human — like nostalgia, relationships, self-confidence and how we change as people.
I wrote this album over the course of 2022 (in this very newsletter!). I recorded it and created it over the course of 2023. And now, in 2024, it’s finally finished. A labour of love for 2 years is almost complete!
It’s ready for you to hear. It’s ready for your ears!
But here’s the thing: I have to release it properly. This album has been made with so much love, care, research and geology-related-emotions, and I can’t just plop it on Spotify and expect the reviews to come rolling in.
This Kickstarter is going to fund a radio plugger, a filmed live session of the singles, and the manufacturing of a CD for you guys and also to sell at shows.
I am asking my audience, my fans and friends of the Olivia Rafferty Musical Experience ™️ (that’s me) to help me raise £3,500 to take this album over the finish line and get it into your ears and into the world.
🚨 Here’s the really important thing:
This is a 30-day, all-or-nothing campaign. Meaning, if we don’t hit the £3,500 mark within the next month, it is back to the drawing board, and no money gets made. So if you are feeling a little itch to support this project, follow that itch and pledge now! Campaigns which make more in their first few days are more likely to be successful.
